New Snapshots Show States Vary Widely in Providing Quality Health Care

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) annual report of state-by-state quality data continues to give States mixed reviews for the quality of care they provide. The report identifies state-specific health care quality information, including strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. No state does well or poorly on all quality measures. New sections this year focus on asthma and disparities.

Learn AAACN's Position on the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

Members of AAACN provided their comments on a draft of the NLC position statement, and the Board of Directors approved the final statement submitted by the Nurse Licensure Compact Task Force. Comments from members were considered, and when appropriate, incorporated into the final statement which is meant to provide a clear explanation of the benefits of being a Compact state and provides documentation in support of legislation or regulation adopting the NLC.
