AAACN offers a variety of ways for ambulatory and telehealth nurses to earn CNE credit outlined in the details below.

Annual Conference

Each year, the AAACN Program Planning Committee assembles a program with many topics pertinent and timely to ambulatory care nursing.

At the Annual Conference, you will have the opportunity to earn contact hours during numerous sessions and pre- and/or post-conference offerings, such as the Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification Review Course and Pre-conference workshops.

ViewPoint Newsletter

Continuing nursing education (CNE) credit from ViewPoint articles is FREE to members.

Non-members may also earn (CNE) credit from ViewPoint articles through the Online Library by following the instructions below. Separate fees apply.


AAACN's Core Curriculum for Ambulatory Care Nursing and ViewPoint newsletter articles offer CNE credit – FREE to members of AAACN.

Non-members pay a small processing fee per contact hour. The Telehealth Nursing Practice Essentials also offers contact hours. Credit may also be earned through the Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification Review Course (7.5 contact hours), or the Telehealth Nursing Practice Core Course (TNPCC) (8.0 contact hours).

Both courses are available in the Online Library, on DVD, and are offered live at the annual conference. Facilities may also host either course at their facility. Separate fees apply.

Evaluations to earn contact hour credit are completed in the Online Library. An additional processing fee applies for CNE credit. CNE activities are also listed in the ViewPoint Newsletter.

AAACN Online Library

The AAACN Online Library provides access to conference content for attendees of AAACN's Annual Conferences, as well as the ability to manage and print CNE certificates, complete evaluations and more. You can also purchase access to the content if you did not attend the meeting.
