Future of Nursing 2020-2030 Report Delayed and Free NAM Webinar

The Future of Nursing 2020-2030 report has been delayed until Spring 2021 so that newly developing evidence pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic can be incorporated.

The report will include recommendations relevant to the role nurses have played in handling the crisis, as well as the swiftly implemented changes in clinical care, nurse leadership, nurse education, and nursing-community partnerships that have resulted from the pandemic.

Free NAM Webinar

The National Academy of Medicine will host a free 90-minute webinar on Nursing’s Role in Health Equity, Public Health Emergencies, and COVID-19 – Critical Issues for The Future of Nursing 2020-2030.

The 90-minute webinar will include updates on the NAM Future of Nursing 2020-2030 study and request feedback on nurses’ roles in managing the pandemic. Additionally, an expert panel will examine how nursing can support health equity, the role of nurses in public health crises, and nurses’ experiences at the forefront of COVID-19.

The webinar will take place August 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
